CRAFT
To begin each frame, you must first open the scanned image in Photoshop. You duplicate this layer, rename it "drawing," and multiply transparency. Then you add another layer and rename it "color." Make sure that you are painting on this layer. For each frame, I used the paint brush as well as the paint bucket to color in every inch of the canvas.
COMPOSITION
Each frame contains the basic message of that step in the story. I'm not very good at drawing, so I tried to make my sketches as simple, neat, and to the point as possible. The images contain very little detail, with the exception of the one with the hands.
CONCEPT
The concept behind this week's assignment was to complete a ten step coloring book. The instructions were to paint using only monochrome, complimentary, or hot/cold colors. However, I wanted my coloring book to be as accurate as possible and reflect my real experience, so I used the colors that I believed would accomplish this.
